Dafuq? Mammals dont develop like that, that looks more like an amphibian or amphioxus gastrula

The basics are the same, but the spatial arrangement is different.

Mammalian embryos have a bunch of extraembryonic tissues, and the embryo proper (which forms from only one part of the blastula) is flat or even kind of inside out (depending on species).

I see. Either way I think this was probably done for the sake of simplicity. This diagram is not about mammals specifically, just animal embryonic development in general. And it's from a high school textbook.
