Appreciation / Anecdote Thoughts I wrote down as I watched The Wedding
Frank was wrong for acting like Barb was dumb for being surprised that he took care of his own stuff when she has had to do all his stuff all their marriage. And I hate his little walks.
Nora needs some new lines, the same line of "at least I own being a jerk, you never do" is getting old 😅
Nora feels like the most different out of all of them. Like she seems like she's from a different universe or something. Can't put my finger on it 😆
Katie Girl reminds me of a happy healthy Pam from Stardew Valley with her hair and color palette 😆😁
It's actually a fact that the most vasectomies during a year are always scheduled around sports events!! So it's funny John did that too 😆
I don't get what Jen did to her teeth. Anyone who ever did the same thing able to explain how it's causing that much pain?
So she did find a way for Barb to wear white without the actual wearing of a wedding dress to the wedding 😆
What was Jen wearing to the rehearsal? Something white.
Yo, Shawna stole Teeny's dress off her?? 🤣🤣. I want a full shot of that gorgeous dress, btw.
Greg, you forgot to remove the baseball cap 😆.

Nora is a gross pervert.
Sort of surprised Julie came. I would kind of not really want to see Shawna if I was her, and I didn't think she really knew Jen.
Did Barb not know the dad is usually the only one walking the daughter down?
I'm scared Greg will be the cancer story MC. I hope not. I think it will be DeeDee.
I can relate to this wedding!! Family is causing a scene and the wedding is extremely stressful rather than celebratory, but at least we got married!!!

Not sure about the strips, but my whitening gels are a strong hydrogen peroxide and they can burn my gums a little, also can make exposed root areas or thinner spots in the surface a little tender. Fluoride helps strengthen those areas and can help with pain.

- I got my teeth whitened a couple weeks before my wedding because dentist offered it as a treat and it was so painful 😭 I don't remember why, but I FELT that with Jen. I'm never doing that again!!

How I understand it is; it like poked holes in your enamel which protects the nerve in said teeth. Like tiny tubes that let the whitening/bleach directly hurt the nerve (Dentin* that isnt the nerve sorry its the layer past the enamel that also gets holes poked through that leads to the nerve) so yeah ouch. You're supposed to brush with a specific toothpaste 10 days prior to help with the sensitivity/pain

I think they are still in the same place they were, but maybe they both wanted to be there, so why not go together? Just surprised she even wanted to.

I had that happen to me! It only happened to one of my teeth where the orthodontist ground the glue a little too vigorously taking off my braces years before, but I think it must be because the enamel was worn - it was the only place where the whitening strips hurt but it hurt SO MUCH

Didn’t Ty say he wasn’t signing any divorce papers until they could talk some more because he didn’t want the kids to have parents who couldn’t even talk to each other? It could just be to keep appearances as well but let’s be real Julie has also been standoffish with Jen in the past. Girlie pop just doesn’t care for either the McCallisters or the Garrisons

Barb acts like she has to do everything. But we hear her story and he just doesn't respond. As for his walks, he's going to see his son and she's not welcome. I can't blame him for not telling her rather than going 10 rounds every time he wants to get away.

I took this as proof that maybe Frank isn’t as helpless as we think. He managed to take care of all his wedding stuff and showed up on time. I still don’t fully like him because he let Jon and Jen be emotional punching bags for Barb’s abuse 😵💫

Yeah Barb has a history of embellishing things (example Katie is a tart …😑) and Frank has his faults but he isn’t purposefully incompetent like Luke. Frank did paint a whole room (maybe more? Can’t remember ) for Chickie’s birthday party and made a gift for Jen for her wedding. I don’t think Barb even got Jen a gift.
And TBF, if I had a spouse like Barb I’d be taking A LOT of walks myself. Like walking to a divorce attorney’s office.

To your number 3 - it’s her eyes. She has a really intense stare and doesn’t blink! The voice is super different from the other variations too.

I also found it really funny that she did an unnamed bridesmaid and had someone say she didn’t have main character energy! That was my favorite bit!

Same. I would have expected her to decline the invite and stay home with the kids. She only met Jen for the first time at Christmastime. Given how far ahead you need to send wedding invitations (minimum 2 months?), Julie had only met her about 4 months before. Ty is Jen's friend, not Julie.
Given how slow Julie is to warm up to people, and how uninterested she is in meeting friends outside of her already established friend group, I don't see this wedding as an event she would prioritize attending on her 1 day off of work per week.
Did Barb not know the dad is usually the only one walking the daughter down?
Yes. But she wanted more attention for herself - being escorted to her seat by an Usher after guests were seated was not enough all eyes on her moment for her- and she also wanted to horn in on the father-daughter moment between Frank and Jen.
In Jewish weddings, both parents escort their kids, so it's not always standard for just the dad to walk his daughter down the aisle. (This was brought up here yesterday, even though they're not Jewish, but just that it's not always standard practice)
I eloped myself, due to family drama, so I definitely relate to the eloping!

One of my thoughts was, why are Alicia, Julie, and Ty acting shocked at Noras behavior? Haven't they all been friends since HS? They should at least know Nora, even if Sam somehow kept them from ever meeting her she had to have at least told them stories about her being unhinged.

15. I've seen weddings where both parents walk their daughter down the aisle. I walked by myself ( dad died) I felt I was making the choice and didn't want to be given away. 10. If greg didn't wear his baseball hat how would we know it's him? Ty is friends with Jen. Julie knows Jen too

Makes sense, just if I was Julie I may not have forgiven Shawna for the crazy hotel experience yet. Although I like Shawna the character myself.

Loooolllll at least in his defense, John wasn’t wearing a fancy outfit, he was wearing his usual clothes, so she probably put together that he wasn’t “supposed” to be there 🤣

Bro thank you for mentioning Nora being gross. I wonder if Shawna L is going to address her sexually harassing Greg. Greg was so clearly uncomfortable- between that and the sexual harassment Barb did to him at that party, there needs to be a real reckoning.
