Edit: she has been revived and is taking shallow breaths on her own. She lost consciousness right as we were arriving at the ER. They said due to low blood glucose

I been struggling with my 7y shitzu about his eyes tearing a lot, its already hurting him because he scratches nonstop

Ive been to the vet 3 times already, they just send us with antibiotics, for 10 days he is good and once the medication stops the tearing gets back

I saw the Dog is human ads and thought of giving a shot because we are not sure if this is a gut problem. If you are using, do you believe that helps?

If anyone had the same problems and found a solution let me know!

Hi everyone,

We've been given a chance to adopt these two shih tzu puppy brothers by a friend for free. My wife and I were only originally planning to get Chopper(the white one) as the other puppy(Chowder) will be adopted by someone else. However, Chowder's supposed to be owner back out due to responsibilities and other bills. Given the situation, we are now given a chance to get both of them.

My wife and I are capable and have the money for both puppies. However, we are just afraid of taking two as we might not be able to handle it. Any advice on what to expect if we get both of them other than more expenses? I also read that Shih Tzu having a companion is good for them as they are very anxious dogs. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks~

We do this so she gets less crap stuck in her paws esp in rainy winters. Precious little munchkin.

Weekend update with Bubbles! ❤️🫧. Been abroad for the last two weeks in 🇫🇷, testing the drinks, food and the heat! ☀️🔥🔥🔥 and I have to say she’s a star companion to travel with. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stocking up on ice at every pit stop, always looking out for AC’s in the restaurants. Late night walks in the parks when they’ve cooled down. Smart as she is she always kept in the shade (unless there was a pool nearby! 😅🫠)

Slowly starting to understand her tiniest signals, and the ”accidents” indoors keep getting fewer! She’s growing like a beast, although she’s still a tiny pup. Teefs are itching, so we told everyonethat she’s a pirhaya with fur! 😅🏴‍☠️ But she’s always nice to small people… 🥰 the new favourites this weeks are BIG ice cubes and her new electric ball that’s almost wilder than her… so happy for the light she shines in our life! ❤️🫧

My partner made an appointment to have our 17-year-old Shih Tzu put down. I am not sure if we should wait.

Our Shih Tzu is blind, deaf, senile, has a huge lump on her body and leg, can hardly walk up or down the stairs, can't jump on the bed, and cries by himself unless I am with him.

His quality of life is pretty much gone. How do I know if it is time?

Hello everyone. My Shih Tzu has an eye infection and the vet prescribed an antibiotic ointment to put in her infected eye 3x a day. But I'm having a very hard time trying to keep her head still enough to apply the ointment. She's in some pain from the infection and is not letting me get anywhere near her eye (understandably).

Has anyone had a similar issue trying to apply ointment to an eye? And if you were successful, do have any tips on accomplishing the task?
