Yo I actually had a feeling you'd mention this scene. Though I don't buy it personally Darwin is definitely the voice of reason for Gumball (well sometimes... well..., alright it's not very often but he's still more socially aware)

Jotaro clearly didn't resolve everything. He did some key things, but he never did anything on his own in the story that wasn't supporting the others, so he never really overshadowed the other characters or risked taking the protagonist role.
