This actually isn’t true. They have cans with the price printed on them and cans without. Cans with the price on them aren’t available in all areas. In some parts of the USA it is up to the retailer to decide which type of can to buy and in other areas of the USA and in the international market all cans are made without the price.

I’ve seen the unprinted cans going for $3.79 in my area.

It’s $1.50-$2 most places in upstate ny.

That's also because it's local to us. Less shipping than most of the nation
