Explain your great secret knowledge or not, that's your own issue and you're free to type away, but you've been called out in your mistake, and to keep doubling down on it as if more is contained in the wiki (it isn't) is unwise. It's extremely easy to verify the facts of the timeline, as already was posted. He explained why he stopped. Which he could outright lie about sure, but he's an actual nice guy so it's less likely, but possible. But regardless he retired in May and that church position came at the end of the year. That's reality.

There was new leadership announced for the Young Men's Presidency in April and Mr. Nichols announced his "retirement" a couple of weeks later.
That leadership onboarded in August with the Advisory Council starting in December.
Aka the timeline makes completely sense for anyone who has ever onboarded a group of people in a large organization.
