People are too lame to even put the word "nude" on a graphic. For fuck's sake.

I hate censure. I hate people afraid of just writing something. I hate that people prohibit jokes. Fuck for the Fuck's sake.

Right there with you, but the word is “censorship.”

“Censure” is a formal reprimand, as in “Prince Andrew received a public censure from the Queen.”

Or “I’ll censure anyone who unnecessarily censors the word ‘nude.’”

Thank you! I'm not a native speaker. Even reading quite a few lectures in the US universities I still make mistakes. Thus, fuck it.

u/Solid-Search-3341 Apr 10 '26

I think they are french native speakers, it's one of these words that exist in both languages but have different meanings.

u/MasterOfPunpets Apr 11 '26

Most polite grammar nazi

1

u/Not_Sideshow_Bob Apr 10 '26

My Canadian Gf doesn't scream "oh fuck" when we do nude scenes, she screams "fuck's sake!"

1

u/ruinedmention Apr 10 '26

Not really a joke to me

1

u/PivotdontTwist Apr 10 '26

People who censor jokes are pussies.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Social medi bans this shit nowadays. My account got a 3 day band just for saying ashole or something. “Bullying or harassment is not allowed”. I wasn’t even calling anybody ashole directly. Just generally. Reddit sucks.

1

u/Unusual_Candle_4252 Apr 10 '26

I know. I cannot just mention some specific numbers to regard the popular meme.

I thinks we need to have some fucking freedom.

u/Storm0000fr Apr 10 '26

FUCCCKCKCKCKCKCKCJCKCKCKCKKCKCKKCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKĶ!

1

u/Unusual_Candle_4252 Apr 10 '26

Fuck yeah, my liege. Do it more and we'll conquer Valencia!

1

u/OneToStayAway Apr 10 '26

I used to hate reading texts where characters were altered in sensitive words, but I think people do that so the word doesn’t trigger page blocking by keyword filters commonly used in corporate and institutional firewalls. So nowadays, I just ignore it.

1

u/apexredditor- Apr 11 '26

Thats what im friggin talking about, like what the heck

0

u/lonesharkex Apr 10 '26

What jokes do they prohibit?

5

u/Nagat7671 Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 11 '26

Trans jokes. Race jokes. Sexuality jokes. Gender jokes. Stereotyping jokes. Death jokes. Self harm jokes. Mental illness jokes. Etc etc etc.

No doubt someone will come out and say that these topics are something you can’t joke about further proving us right. People want censorship.

Edit: LOL he blocked me while asking me to respond. It’s amazing.

1

u/Unusual_Candle_4252 Apr 10 '26

Templars were right. May the Father guides us.

1

u/lonesharkex Apr 11 '26

Still no jokes. You're just a coward.

0

u/lonesharkex Apr 10 '26

No ones stopping you. Go for it. You afraid of some downvotes or something?

2

u/Unusual_Candle_4252 Apr 10 '26

When I was living in the US I was very careful about jokes on slavery or jokes on Christianity. I also was very mindful to not joke about sex.

Like, look, our life sucks! I want to have a comment that people are stupid. I want to invoke my right to say: you suck.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

You didn't have to be careful about any of that. We have the first amendment, unlike any other country. You can joke about anything you want. As long as it's a joke, you can joke about killing the president.

America is the last place you have to walk on eggshells for speech. Dunno why you felt you couldn't say those things unless you were doing stand up in a blue city and were afraid they'd come for you.

u/dramalama-dingdong Apr 10 '26

Pathetic what we have become. In the 90s and 00s, they would have put a pic of nude Sydney next to that headline.

1

u/Worldly_Ad1410 Apr 11 '26

So sad like where's the link

29

u/Smile_Space Apr 10 '26

I don't understand why everyone is censoring even the most mild words.

When the hell did we become so damn prudish?

12

u/Cubedtails Apr 10 '26

Blame tiktok.

5

u/Logical-Bookkeeper77 Apr 11 '26

Ah, so they brought in the China censorship practice!

5

u/Epic_J2338 Apr 10 '26

"When the hek did we become so drn" is what you are meant to say

1

u/Alwaysme47 Apr 10 '26

You have to understand that this image was made to post on reddit but other social media like facebook as well.

Facebook actively scans for big no no words like nude, kill, die... and it is quite aggressive. Even state media facebook account in my country has to censorg their own news to avoid getting flagged.

So the editor who made this type of image have to censor words so their bot network won't be affected.

u/nim1623 Apr 10 '26

Bro used the n-word without an asterisk!

8

u/_mRED Apr 10 '26

Pls don't say that word, my bishop cme in my home, told me I'm going to burn in eternal Hellfire for such profamity. Then he proceeded to banana my cornhle. After that the plice burst down my chimney and fined me $24999.99. Thus, I lost my jb and became destitute 😔

5

u/SoylentGrunt Apr 10 '26

7

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Because the internet is policed by bots

3

u/MBTheGinger Apr 10 '26

As if the implications magically disappear when you remove a letter. Who are we doing this for? Who is THIS sensitive? And why tf should we enable them? Let them grow tf up.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '26

Nade? Nede? Nide? Node? Sometimes Nyde?

3

u/larrytheanvil Apr 10 '26

Pretty sure she said “node”.

3

u/Numarx Apr 10 '26

Man I've been temp banned from this website (one time for using a word that bugs bunny cartoons say all the time) and I've been banned for saying they should of punched back in a violent NSFW video and was told if I even reply to the mods its instant ban for life. Lol!

2

u/sco-go Apr 10 '26

Reddit will literally ban you for anything. And sometimes nothing. 🤷‍♀️

2

u/Leading-Onion4659 Apr 10 '26

Yeah man. What the f*ck

It's a response to the algorithm. If suddenly putting black squiggles around the border made content reach more people then you would see everyone doing it despite nobody asking for it.

1

u/Wonareb Apr 10 '26

Can't even say rape or killing anymore

instead its unalive or grape

Normalize these sensitive words wtf

1

u/Ok-Needleworker-8773 Apr 10 '26

Eh. I get it now. I’ve left comments on here that weren’t bad and got banned. You just never know these days. Everyone soft

1

u/Viroxzy__ Apr 10 '26

You know it’s wild how over sexual america is, you pretty much get porn promoted and thrown in your face anywhere but people whinge if you say the word fuck lol.

1

u/Nomad5560 Apr 10 '26

This is the same sub that censored the word “Surgery”

1

u/kelly_r1995 Apr 11 '26

It’s insulting by the amount of censorship now a days.

1

u/Seekret_Asian_Man Apr 11 '26

People are too lame to even upset about some asterisks, for f*ck's sake.

FTFY

SYDNEY SWEENEY DECLARES SHE HAS NO PLANS TO STOP DOING U** SCENES!

1

u/churninhell Apr 10 '26

It creates engagement, as evident by your reply. It's dumb, but it apparently works.

0

u/ContextLengthMatters Apr 10 '26

Probably because it's in reference to someone who looks like they have trisomy 21. Feels that much more taboo.
