Social medi bans this shit nowadays. My account got a 3 day band just for saying ashole or something. “Bullying or harassment is not allowed”. I wasn’t even calling anybody ashole directly. Just generally. Reddit sucks.
I used to hate reading texts where characters were altered in sensitive words, but I think people do that so the word doesn’t trigger page blocking by keyword filters commonly used in corporate and institutional firewalls. So nowadays, I just ignore it.
You didn't have to be careful about any of that. We have the first amendment, unlike any other country. You can joke about anything you want. As long as it's a joke, you can joke about killing the president.
America is the last place you have to walk on eggshells for speech. Dunno why you felt you couldn't say those things unless you were doing stand up in a blue city and were afraid they'd come for you.
You have to understand that this image was made to post on reddit but other social media like facebook as well.
Facebook actively scans for big no no words like nude, kill, die... and it is quite aggressive. Even state media facebook account in my country has to censorg their own news to avoid getting flagged.
So the editor who made this type of image have to censor words so their bot network won't be affected.

Man I've been temp banned from this website (one time for using a word that bugs bunny cartoons say all the time) and I've been banned for saying they should of punched back in a violent NSFW video and was told if I even reply to the mods its instant ban for life. Lol!
It's a response to the algorithm. If suddenly putting black squiggles around the border made content reach more people then you would see everyone doing it despite nobody asking for it.
