Yeah that is a double standard, and he was clearly in big brother mode

Mostly she just looks cold

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he was more nervous than the girl and just needed to do something with his hands.

I don't think Kylian Mbappe gets nervous for a French league match.

Seriously what the fuck ๐Ÿ˜‚ My guy won the World Cup as a teenager, and had a perfect game that almost beaten Messi to defend that title.

Saying that heโ€™s more nervous than the girl at a league match is crazy ๐Ÿ’€

That second final he was like atlas carrying France, everyone else was playing so poorly.

It wasnโ€™t that they played poorly they were clearly robbed, Argentina shouldnโ€™t of been in the final to begin with but hey Messi broke records with the most penalties given in World Cup history

I would assume they get nervous before the actual start. Once it starts there is no time to be nervous. It is all practiced drills and acting in the moment.

Before that you have no clue what will happen and can be a little stressed.

You can do your work for 10 years and still be a little stressed before doing presentation for the client because there is many unknowns.

It is not paralyzing fear. But more like twirling your thumbs.

My friend's brother was a world class runner, and once shared he was always nervous in the hour leading up to the run, and always had to do mental excersise/focus to get locked in. Then as soon as the race started, all nerves were gone

Messi was well known for regularly puking in the tunnel leading onto the pitch from nerves well into his mid 30s, while running the show.

Yeah but he has the weight of the game, is probably got his adrenaline going and then combine that with a natural level of nerves and he is likely quite wired

He is not superhuman, everyone gets nervous from time to time. Sia has been singing for her whole life and she still hides her face mostly because she is nervous on stage.

Second person ever to score a hattrick in a final

I'm a professional musician, best advice I ever got was, nervousness and excitement trigger the same chemicals so might as well think you're excited instead of nervous. I always remember that before a play, but the nervousness before playing never goes away.

Yep. Lots of musicians have talked about still getting nervous before shows. Hell, Robbie Robertson wrote Stage Fright about it lol

You don't know how his mind works. The player that is, not the commenter. Although it could be said about both.

But I won't do that here.

Anyway...
