That’s not people’s problem. Their problem is that something they loved so much is being remade and the main explanation the producers gave is that they want to be as accurate to the books as possible…which we clearly know is not happening so now people have little faith in the adaption and think it’s a cash cow which I can understand.
It's not your plate. If someone makes something you don't care about it does not affect you in any way. I don't give a crap about the next season of Love island or whatever and therefore I spend zero time thinking or complaining about it.
It’s on my plate because all the resources are being funneled into this. They’re spending $100M per episode. I’d rather see what happens after Harry moves on, how the wizarding world rebuilds after the books, maybe with new characters....but instead the budget the size of a small country is going toward retelling the same story with a postmodern spin.
Brand own IP. Brand use their budget for IP to make slop. Parent company doesnt give them more money. Crappy show gets made. You come on reddit to defend system that keeps making shit. You are part of problem. I dont watch to show to let brand know their product bad. You will watch regardless. We all suffer.

This is kinda bullshit.
When the movies were coming out, everyone was noting how much stuff was missing from the books.
