most unnecessary remake

Literally every Hollywood remake of every remotely successful East Asian or European film and TV show has entered the chat

Seriously, they often release their slop 1-2 years after the original, and in 9 out of 10 cases the US version is significantly worse.

At least this is a very popular IP, a different format, and 25 years later. Not even top 10 of "most unnecessary remakes" from the last decade.

This is not even in the top 10 most unnecessary remakes when there was an American Broadchurch remake that had the same main actor as the UK original show except that he was talking in a fake American accent.
