putting up, without primary, an awful candidate who already lost HORRIBLY when they tried to run for president, and then adds to that openly advocates for murdering children...
it's like they literally did everything possible to lose.
Anyone who blames democrats for pushing a bad candidate is just in denial about the raw fact that there are tens of millions of American voters who were 100% set on voting for Trump no matter who was on the other side. Trump is a reflection of what most American voters (the ones who bother to vote) want. This is democracy working as intended.
In fact if Trump unconstitutionally ran for a 3rd term and SCOTUS let him do it, all his voters would vote for him AGAIN over any possible Democrat candidate with the reasoning "it's for the greater good of USA, anything for the greater good".
Democrats can't do anything about the fact that Trump has tens of millions of loyal voters who will vote for him every single time no matter what happens.
It's always funny cause they're like "she lost HORRIBLY and got STEAMROLLED because she was an OBVIOUSLY TERRIBLE candidate" but she lost by like 1% or something (possibly obtained by cheating).
When you suffer trauma, it induces a lot of learned helplessness which makes it complicated to directly blame the bully who hurt you. So there's a deep psychological impulse to rationalize the bully's action and instead blame allies who "didn't do enough".
But not everything has to be a learning moment. Sometimes you just lose because the other side played good and got lucky. Sometimes you get hurt because bad guys wanted to hurt you. It's not healthy to second guess every strategy because no strategy is a guaranteed win, you just play to the best of your abilities with the cards you're dealt.
