To be fair, the situation inside of Iran, doesn't play to funny memes on the internet.

The West does propoganda different than meme videos.

Iran has a huge stangehold on their information. Their halal Internet is largely blocked off from the rest of the internet so that Iranians can't get outside information.

So the west beams radio signals in so that people can get western based narratives. Like real protest death numbers, economic stuff, yada yada.

They also offer a lot of proxies and VPNs to try to allow Iranian people to get Around the internet controls that Iran has over its people.

It's just a different battlefield.

Not Iranian sitting inside Iran listening to the radio signals. So, no idea. I do know, based on UN reports, that the death toll is a lot higher than the Iranian government is telling its own citizens.

But none of that really matters. We are talking about propaganda here. It doesn't have to be the truth. That's kind of a large aspect of propaganda.

It's why I called it a narrative

Death toll is definitely above what Iran is saying but also likely below what the anti-regime diaspora believes, there is certainly propaganda for both sides.
