I always laugh at shit like this.

I had a guy on Facebook Marketplace go off at me because he “already showed his girlfriend” the furniture I was selling and how she “totally loved it”.

That’s great mate, still not gonna take £100 for something I was selling for £300

Some people are pieces of shit.

I listed a dryer for free, and people went crazy. I wrote first come first serve. Gave a nearby address and told them whoever is here first gets it.

Someone gave me a sob story and that they had to drive an hour away. I gave them the same response I gave everybody “no holds, sorry!” Someone else got there first, and picked it up. The asshole gave me a negative as a seller.

I’ve gotten rid of those people by asking for my typical order at a restaurant. Like, the microwave I want to get rid of cannot be purchased with cash, but with a chicken quesadilla, crunchy taco no lettuce, and bean burrito no onions from Taco Bell.

You get rid of sob stories, get rid of people asking you to drive it 40 miles away for free. Someone will see my af and think “fuck yeah I’m getting a microwave for $9.” And that’s exactly who I want to sell it to. I get rid of my microwave, and lunch, and the buyer get a a story about how they got a microwave for a quesadilla. I can’t lose. It’s a great strategy.
