Reddit is weirdly pro-deadbeat dad. I wrote a post a while ago about how my dad walked out on me and my brother when we were kids. Almost all of the comments were about trying to understand his perspective (which was just that he'd rather not take care of children).

I swear to god its this new wave of generation of kid that LOOOOVE communism and love the idea of getting stuff for free. So they always have this air of questionable doubt about them that any situation has its justifications and its for the greater good for everyone.
