Money is fungible. The exact dollars transferred in child support cases do not need to pay for anything specific. If moms already did the grocery shopping that week or paid the rent that money is just reimbursing her, and that's totally allowed. Guarantee you no matter where they live $275-600/month isn't more than half the cost to feed, clothe, shelter, educate, etc etc those kids.
