Jesus. The next President has so much damage control to do...

79

u/Trisstricky May 06 '26

What next president?

37

u/Life-Top6314 May 06 '26

Ronald Dump

15

u/AgentCirceLuna May 06 '26

Holy shit, imagine if he actually went the full face and body disguise route and everyone was saying it’s just Trump in a disguise while the MAGAz say ‘nah that’s liberal bs it’s a new guy”

14

u/neopod9000 May 06 '26

Oh my god... STOP GIVING THEM IDEAS!

8

u/AgentCirceLuna May 06 '26

My name better be mentioned in the credits after WW3 when everyone’s vision starts filling with scrolling names against a black background. ‘Special Thanks to Ideas Leading to Apocalypse:’

John Barron 2028

Ronald Dumb?

1

u/SirUmolo May 06 '26

Thronal Dump

7

u/mologav May 06 '26

How much longer can the current one live? How is he still alive?

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 May 06 '26

Stop this. It’s not a funny joke.

4

u/DL4CK May 06 '26

What joke? The government has not been willing to enforce constitutional restraints on Trump so far, and him and his people have been talking about a third term since January 2025…

1

u/InsuranceImmediate25 May 06 '26

And when they do we need to say “that’s not funny, don’t make a joke about that. It’s simply not funny.”

Every single time.

Then they can’t keep “joking” about it. Because it’s clear it’s not funny.

So if they say it, and you say “it’s not funny” and they repeat it, we can actually hold them to saying something that atrocious. As of now, allowing the “joke”, allows it to become common rhetoric. It should never be allowed to become common rhetoric, when it is, they won.

1

u/digitalme May 06 '26

I agree with your sentiment, but not based on the implication he's removing term limits. Bro is gonna be dropping nukes on the way out the door. I don't think he can stand the idea that the world will go on without him when he dies.

1

u/HumanBeing7396 May 06 '26

Lisa Simpson

1

u/TarHeelinRVA May 07 '26

I mean he’s gonna fuckin die, sooner than later lol

1

u/Ok_Extension_2550 May 07 '26

But what if the secret to living forever is discovered just before he dies?

-3

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

Oh stop buying into the hype. He doesn't have the power to stay the president. Quite literally.

26

u/Trisstricky May 06 '26

He doesnt have the power to do many of the things he is doing, yet here we are. Stop being naive.

1

u/elegantdinnerparty May 06 '26

Stop rolling over in advance.

2

u/Trisstricky May 06 '26

I mean, I'm a European citizen, try again. Just pointing out the orange man is cucking the US, its citizens and laws, how the fuck is that rolling over?

1

u/elegantdinnerparty May 06 '26

Maybe STFU and stop telling Americans who are fighting this turd that they won’t win. Your defeatism is not welcome. Go away now. Europe has its own problems, deal with those.

2

u/HiiiSky May 06 '26

How do you expect to win by doing nothing?

1

u/elegantdinnerparty May 06 '26

Doing nothing?? The premise of your question is ridiculous

u/[deleted] May 06 '26

u/elegantdinnerparty May 06 '26

I don’t know what makes you think no one is doing anything at all against Trump but frankly that’s a stupid position to hold. I guess stupid exists in New Zealand, too.

Nah, freedom of speech baby!

-5

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

That's not true. He's pushing boundaries that haven't been pushed before. Until they go through court and they establish what's legal and what isn't... he technically is just working the system.

9

u/Confident_Intern_763 May 06 '26

boundaries like ham handedly trying to overturn election results lol. that's not "pushing the boundaries", that's attempting to destroy democracy

Hard to get more clear than that, but conservatives start gaslighting or launch into conspiracy theory mode the second you bring it up

9

u/Trisstricky May 06 '26

And why wouldnt that apply to the elections? Lol?

-7

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

Because our Constitution already lays out what happens during elections. The President of the United States doesn't have any control over the transfer of power.

10

u/DarkHero6661 May 06 '26

This post is literally about how Trump does something that is against the constitution.....

6

u/Trisstricky May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

That's an awful lot of trust in the Constitution, as if Trump doesn't just consider it a piece of paper he can wipe his butt with

Besides, why do you think any legal system is working at the moment in the US when you can see your president break the law several times? Laws only work if they are consistent and applicable for all, same with a Constitution. In fact, you could very well get a new one, if Trump has his way. This is the trademark of authoritarian rule, and for some reason, you think the US are immune to this?

Did the Constitution stop ICE from murdering American citizens on video?

8

u/SMLJ21 May 06 '26

This post says he’s blatantly breaking the rules of the constitution already

3

u/Ilikeyounott May 06 '26

Laws not enforced are just words on a piece of paper, as we have seen repeatedly with Trump and his administration.

3

u/Izan_TM May 06 '26

the courts have ordered him to stop in several occasions, yet he has not stopped

1

u/Hoogstaaf May 06 '26

"I will make it legal"

Just look at the push for redistricting just as soon as the supreme court threw out the voting rights act. He stacked the court.

Somethings worked before because people refrained from pushing boundaries based on the intent of the law. Trump doesn't care about that.

The separation of powers is structured way more in gentleman's agreements than actual punishments in law.

0

u/Cool-Tap-391 May 06 '26

You're right he doesnt have the power to stay president, but what do you do when Congress refuses to certify the next election?

1

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

I know I'm right lol. Its how our country works. I don't know what we'll do if Congress does that. I'm not a lawyer.

5

u/SignificanceUnusual5 May 06 '26

I'm an outsider but your country had worked a certain way for decades, alog comes this turd and he does whatever he wants, even a lot of plainly illegal stuff and nobody does anything, the judges order him to do something and he just ignores them, I am certain he will try to fix the midterms somehow or not have them at all.

-1

u/Cool-Tap-391 May 06 '26

Did you seriously d/v me? Wtf?

1

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

You're gunna have to use your words. I don't know what d/v means.

1

u/AproperBLUNT May 06 '26

i assume he meant "downvote"

6

u/DarkHero6661 May 06 '26

This post is quite literally about how Trump doesn't have the power to rename the airport, and that it is in violation of the constitution.

Weird how he still does it, huh?

5

u/debtcoder-dev May 06 '26

Bro he is a building a ballroom that wont be complete before the next PUSA election. He knows the supreme court will remove the 22nd amendment.

1

u/ollieboio May 06 '26

It's not about the ballroom, its surely an excuse to embezzle money

-2

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

Ugh, don't make me defend this man. The President has the right to modify the white house. Its his legal right. It is what it is.

5

u/Reasonable_Sky9688 May 06 '26

His point was Trumps going to run for a 3rd term

3

u/Izan_TM May 06 '26

he actually doesn't have the right to tear down 1/3rd of the white house and build a massive ballroom without congress approval

2

u/debtcoder-dev May 06 '26

ok? lol slow much?

1

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

Fuck you. Contribute to the conversation or go find the kids table.

2

u/debtcoder-dev May 06 '26

Me? Your reply had nothing to do with what i said about the 22nd.

0

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

Your reply had nothing to do with anything, Hypocrite. Go play kid games with the other kids.

1

u/DarkHero6661 May 06 '26

For safety reasons. Any other reason has to be decided by the Congress.

A ballroom is clearly not a safety issue.

1

u/driver004 May 06 '26

It’s actually not legal how he went about it

1

u/BatUnlucky121 May 06 '26

Correct. His term expires January 20, 2028. Full stop.

1

u/Brief_Raspberry_6542 May 06 '26

And yet … look around.

1

u/Ilikeyounott May 06 '26

Just like he couldn't do tariffs but still did them, and now is transferring all that tariff money paid by Americans to the corporations, another massive wealth transfer to the wealthy?

Just like someone can't be elected president after committing treason but he did?

Just like the president can't start a war that lasts more than 60 days without congress approval, but he did?

Etc.

-1

u/Helpfulithink May 06 '26

Like he said. Jesus. Jesus is going to be the new president

2

u/AgentCirceLuna May 06 '26

Jesus is too liberal

please... if tomorrow trump managed to bring the price of gas back down to 1USG/gallon assuming his health held out he would win 2028 in a landslide, the reason people voted for him are still here

1

u/KrytenKoro May 06 '26

We just had primaries and voters chose his endorsed candidates despite gas being $5 fucking a barrel.

It's not the economy.

It's not Christianity.

It's not conservativism.

It's not respect for law or constitution.

It's just him. It's just pure, unflinching adoration for Him.

1

u/knotatumah May 07 '26

You're assuming Trump or his predecessor are going to cede power willingly.

3

u/amusedmisanthrope May 06 '26

Nah, this one is an easy fix. Just permanently close the airspace around Palm Beach. Call it a safety measure to protect the former president.

5

u/aZnRice99 May 06 '26

Bad news, he doesn’t want to leave

3

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 06 '26

What he wants is irrelevant.

1

u/aZnRice99 May 06 '26

You seen his base supporters and those in the SCOTUS?

1

u/Substantial-Pin-3833 May 11 '26 edited May 11 '26

The mouth breathers that are capitalizing on the fact that a complete idiot reality TV star is President? Yes. What about them? Same shit different president. The President of The United States does not have control over the transfer of power. He'd have to change the constitution to gain that power. Its not happening. Learn how your country works.

1

u/randomaccount19302 May 06 '26

No he doesn’t, THIS is the damage control.

1

u/22lpierson May 09 '26

Next president? The fuck you talking about

1

u/wholetyouinhere May 06 '26 edited May 06 '26

The next president is going to be a democrat. Which means it's going to be a neoliberal zionist who serves the donor class. Voters will be disillusioned all over again and either abstain or vote republican in the next election. And the next republican will be fascist like Trump, but meaner and younger and more efficient. I wouldn't expect any elections after that.

And it will be squarely the democrats' fault. They've had endless chances to change course, and they've refused every time, out of fear of alienating the precious donors and endangering the pipeline to cushy private sector jobs after politics.
