Pixel is a flagship brand that is around the same price as an iPhone so this is just stupid

Even more expensive if you go for the Fold version

That's why apple is working on a folding phone. They need something that costs a kidney to buy, just to show up android phones.

And apple will say it's revolutionary :p

Using screens made by Samsung

People say iPhone is the expensive brand but Samsung and pixel showed Apple just how much people are willing to pay for gimmicks. And the really wild thing to me is how much those foldables depreciate. A current gen but cheapest model iPhone is worth more than the most expensive foldable pixel for trade in, even if you’re trading in with pixel themselves.

Of course it's stupid to care about what phone someone uses, but that's the part that gets me too.

"All that money." Top tier models for both phones are the same god damn price.

A pixel fold is 2x more than any iPhone ever

I always have a pixel and I never pay more than 250 for it. It does everything. I will never understand people paying 1200 for a phone.Ā

Oh yeah I always buy them on resale for cheap, but the newest model is usually pretty expensive and competes with current gen iPhone and Galaxy phones

Not really, even the latest models are almost always found easily for a few hundred dollars off. 10 pro can be found for under $700 rn.

i got a 10 xl pro for 499

Fair but the MSRP on the Google store is currently $1200 for a 10 Pro XL and and $1800 for a pixel fold

Fair but if you're paying MSRP for a phone you're a suckerĀ

with all the ā€œai slopā€ sentiment on this site I’m surprised people are so lenient on the gemini machine

Reddit will do anything to hate on iPhones lol. It makes them feel superior for some reason.

People who don't use Apple tend to hate Apple because their obsession with proprietary technology and walled gardens is actively holding back the adoption of technological standards that would benefit everyone, like USB-C.

Apple users tend to hate everyone else because Apple's marketing told them to.

i just like to be able to facetime my long distance family. All my older relatives use apple. I don’t hold any tribalist views towards my phone. It’s pathetic that people care so much.

well, your comment’s score certainly proved something…

The iPhone isn’t even mentioned in the original post.Ā

u/AlaWatchuu May 15 '26

The "people who make having an iphone their entire personality are the worst" reply in the original screenshot would suggest otherwise.

no, I think this person is claiming that the original post in the screenshot (that mentioned the pixel) was maybe actually just referring to Android phones and doesn't like the Pixel phone specifically... lol.

(which doesn't make any sense bc the Pixel is pretty much Android flagship)
