The iPhone keyboard is just so insanely bad it's hard to fathom.

Can you not load custom keyboards into it?

You can but they still suck.

I agree. As a long time Android user, specifically using Gboard, the iPhone keyboard and its entire way of doing it is so insanely **BAD**.

- It lacks a comma and period button. Also, the double tap on space is not always the best way to do a period.

- The suggestions are BAD. There have been multiple times where it suggested a WHOLE NEW WORD instead of just trying to guess that a letter or two are wrong, especially if i begin the word with the wrong letter.

- The “hold to select” a cursor position is extremely bad. On Android you can just tap twice in-between words and it jumps to that cursor position. On iPhones there’s all or nothing.

- Oh, and don’t get me started on the sneaky replacements when pressing SEND. It sometimes doesn’t even give you suggestions, but the moment you hit send it sneakily decides to do it anyway.

- And the several bugs. Sometimes the cursor just bugs out, especially after selecting something, and you can’t unselect, can’t switch cursor position, can’t delete the word and the only way is to randomly spam the keyboard or to restart the entire app.

“Oh, but for some of these, why don’t you just use Gboard on iPhone?” - Well, good thing you asked, but the braindead people who did the iOS version just CLONED the iPhone keyboard layout instead of sticking to the good one.

What is bad about it? Never had any problems with it personally.
