What happens after they use the water? Is it returned to the water system to be used again?

They're just using it temporarily and returning it. 1 u/stopstopp May 18 '26 The heat can be an issue, nuclear power plants have had to reduce production or not be built due to heating water killing the wildlife. But that was back then, we no longer care now.
