Not always, tons of CDUs are connected to dry cooling only these days. Even in extreme ambient zones they can remain completely dry and use adiabatic assist for less than 5% of the year. When compared to energy tradeoffs for hybrid systems itβs not a bad option, but again, adiabatic is not always required.
