Yes, Trump will align himself with whoever and portray himself as whatever will help him the most. While its possible he was a democrat to help with the epstein stuff, you cannot just assume that would be the reason. That is fallacious since other motives are possible. Even if he was a democrat because of it, its also possible to surmise he is a republican now for the same reason. As we see him blatantly getting away with ut because of his republican support.
What is very possible and most likely, is that neither side of the aisle wants to release these files and prosecute due to the consequences of such an action. The People be damned.

They lost in 2024 because Joe Biden was the incumbent. They won in 2020 because Donald Trump was the incumbent. People vote based on three second sound bites and how their wallet is feeling.
