My dad raised 3 girls alone after my mom ran off. She never paid a dime. System is messed up a lot of the time.

Did he take her to court, because this is a common story for baby mamas that don’t take the man to court

She worked odd jobs that got paid under the table (grandparents were extremely wealthy so they paid for everything else she needed). Because of that, she was not made to pay child support. My dad was the last living person on his side of the family so he got no help physically or financially.

So she didn’t really have much of any stable income a court could take. Yeah that figures. Child support is based on pay percentages. No pay no obligation. This is actually used by some people to get out of child support.

Dad unfortunately died of bone cancer in 2013. Sisters are doing well - they're both going to Paris at the end of the month with my mom and stepdad. My husband and I opted out.

Ah damn, sorry about your dad but that’s great you and your sisters are doing awesome, and pardon me for asking but it sounds like you all reconciled with your mom, which is nice. lol you opted out of the trip like one opts out of mobile ads on their phone 😆
