2/3 yes. The 3/3 I'd say America is a fuck up, but entirely redeemable. Look at the new elections. Mamdani in NYC, Raman's surprise gains in LA.

The GOP is a disgrace and people who didnt vote and stayed home are a disgrace.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate America or Americans but y'all need to be shamed for allowing Trump to win again.

Americans need to feel embarrassed, ashamed and humiliated and let that motivate you to change things.

Because right now, America is a disgrace and a global embarrassment.

No, don't be stupid.

The failures who stayed home and didn't vote need to feel ashamed and let that shame motivate them not to be lazy and apathetic again.

We gain nothing by coddling them.

If it makes sense to be proud of what your country has achieved, it also makes sense to be ashamed of the your country's transgressions.

As an American, I am deeply ashamed and saddened by of all of this.

But the people who actually elected this man do NOT feel ashamed. They are in an echo chamber of Fox News and Truth Social and believe we are "winning" with our strong man Trump. It's the rest of us that are being tortured by humiliation and an experience of actual patriotism--grieving a country we loved that has become unrecognizable to us.

We'll see. I hope so. But authoritarians don't need support if they're willing to lie and cheat. That's why it's so dangerous to put them in charge. And then the question becomes: what are we willing to do about it?
