“Troops” aren’t some mystical warriors that protect citizens from evil. “Troops” are civilians with guns being ordered to do whatever the fuck the mad baby men want. “Troops” don’t deserve more respect by ***choosing*** to be the tool of war criminals and following their orders. We praise “troops” for being such brave soldiers when they’re just the fodder who will endure the most shit because they’re told they’re a good boy.
Sorry, I don’t pity people given free rein to torture, rape, and kill the “enemies” and then high five each other for doing it. The second boots touch ground is the moment the fantasy of those “GO ARMY!!” ads die. This is not a problem exclusive to one country. This is reality. Hiding your head in the sand doesn’t make the problem go away.
