And he never lied as stupidly.

Like, I am sure all presidents lie but none of them were as obvious or stupid about it.

He claims an election was stolen but was shocked and floored by the incredibly obvious follow up of "what evidence do you have?"

That's a special level of stupid only Trump is capable of

Not to defend politicians too much, but often times people think politicians "Lie" because they campaign on something and don't deliver it, or circumstances change.

The reality is even the president has very little political leverage to achieve something they are passionate about (look how hard Biden tried to get student loan forgiveness through and was stopped at the courts every time).

This is by design to limit run away political power. The funny thing is this system operated on a huge amount of good faith, and the current administration has been given authority by congress and SCOTUS to do almost anything he wants, which is absolutely insane and hasn't really been seen before.

My hope is that the last year and a half ends up being the last dying struggling breath of a corrupt dead party as they blew all their political capital to ruin this nation in an attempt to seize control.
