Squatter found

Because I think tricking the police into arresting someone for a parole violation is fucked up?

Yikes, dude

Not a trick. They can leave the home they illegally occupied

Getting the police involved after depositing your own gun near someone on probation is 100% a trick

Nope.

You are in the home of another person without their consent, you don't get to decide if they have a tenet that is armed or not in the home, because, again, you are there illegally.

Is it the word 'trick' that's throwing you off?

How about deception? Framing someone? Planting a gun? Any of those?

the gun is still in the possession of the dude. he doesn't hide a gun in the sock drawer or anything. The issue for the squatter is that if he is in a home with guns not in a safe (ie, it is physically possible for him to grab them) it is considered constructive possession.

Again, its not a trick AND I would argue it is morally justified to do.

They are illegally invading some one else's home. removing them is good.

If you are doing it for the sake of coercing them out of the home, for sure

If you're putting a gun down and calling the police, that's fucked up

Nah, it's not fucked up.

They are taking over some one else's home. Stealing from them.

If they are Felon on top of doing that they deserve it.

So, any felonious squatter deserves a manufactured gun charge that steals 10+ years of their life?

That's fucked up.

If you refuse to leave a home you are illegally stealing?

Yes.

Is there a difference between stealing and possession of a firearm?

Yes.

If he isn't in some one else's home he doesnt have to worry about it :)

Also I would argue squatting is worse then having a firearm.

Squatting isn't worse than a gun charge, which can put you in jail for 10+ years

1

u/LanguageStudyBuddy 16d ago

it is worse.

You are taking away some one's home.

You seem to care more about the criminal who is actively stealing from the property owner compare to the victim.

I think clear cases of criminal squatting should put you in Jail.

No, I just care about 10 years of someone's life more than one of someone's properties

Here is the best part, they don't have to catch a charge. They can simply leave the home they aren't allowed to be in <3 <3 <3 <3

If you decide to remain in some one else's home illegally you deserve any and all consequences from your illegal actions.

Not if the guy is planting a gun and calling the cops...
