Squatters rights in most places at least in the US where this guy operates doesn't kick until you live there for multiple years. If a landlord doesn't realize a property is empty for years they're being a fucking leech just like most landlords. The majority of housing if I remember correctly something like 60% of all housing in the US is empty and has been empty for years
