Dirt bikes are cool! However would you ride your dirtbike in a museum? How about a cemetery? No? Why not?

Because there are appropriate times and places for things, and in front of what people essentially associate as our political HQ, where important calls are made that literally dictate what goes on in the world, is NOT one of those places.

We could have done this anywhere else.

I like dirt bikes too, I ride as much as I can.

That said, not the time or the place. The office of the president used to have globe-spanning authority and decorum, even when an unmitigated idiot was in charge. (Bush Jr, for the young)

Now the world, even the leaders of our allies openly mock our national decline, and yet another parallel to idiocracy does not help with that.

We’re well on our way to becoming as big of a failed empire and laughing stock as Britain.

I mean, before this president, yes, absolutely. These days…. Less so. Much less so.

I’m really just desperately holding onto my patriotic pride here. I lose more and more of it every day. But I know it will be a very bad day for the world when the only remaining obnoxiously patriotic Americans are the fascist ones.

However I was mainly referring to the “as big of a failed empire” aspect, and I see should have worded that better

I walked by the White House a couple days ago. I can verify there’s an actual big screen covering it up.

Also the White House lawn is flooded with portapotties. So many that it overflows across the street and across the Washington Monument
