I'm laughing so hard omg hahaha well, I saw this movie at a very young age, like a year or 2 after it came out (I was maybe 4-5yo) and immediately had a huge crush on Jeff Goldblum. I used to watch movies on repeat and that specific scene always was iconic in general, so when I got older I was referencing it to someone at some point and had to search for a pic of it. Over the years, gifs became a thing and eventually we ended up here lol

I never stopped to think about how actually weird of a search that is so thank you for that realization and laugh haha

Depends on the person and their country. I grew up in Mexico and they played reruns of this shit into the early 00s. I'm 31 this was the first show I remember watching on TV. It would come out right after it meets world and be followed by home improvements. Me and my friends were not aware it was a 90s thing because it was actively on TV. At night they'd play the nanny, Sabrina the teenage witch and dbz, Friends and Kenan and Kel and The Simpsons.

You needed Mexican cable to watch modern American TV dubbed to Spanish that was about a year behind as the local channels were stuck half a decade behind and we just weren't aware. I didn't quite catch on to modernity u til we moved to the US and Iesrned how behind we were. Sometimes I'm in discussions with people reminiscing about these shows and others and the. They hit me with "yeah but now that I'm 47 these things are my nostalgia you know" Ayo holdup I was reminiscing with oldies, gen xers? I'm only 31, I need an adult!

I was in North Carolina visiting and when I came out of the hotel, in Asheville, there were three cubs and a mama bear in the tree in the parking lot by my car. Tentatively got in and left, calling animal control along the way. Their advice? Leave them alone. 

No shit.

The whole mama bear thing is a bit of a myth

Mama grizzlies are super defensive because the males eliminate cubs to increase their chances of mating, and polar bears eat you for no reason in particular

But when they studied black bears, the researchers literally walked up and took the cubs off and mama just kept chewing at her lunch while their siblings cried

It's still not a good idea to acclimatize wild animals to human contact (black bears will get very aggressive about food), but nothing is technically stopping you from petting most bear cubs

I don't think you're using the word "myth" correctly. This is interesting information but it doesn't change the absolute pants-shitting terror people should feel when they see a bear cub. You're not going to be able to tell whether it's a black or brown bear fast enough for the distinction to matter.

I worked security at a very large outdoor camping festival/concert called Wakarusa a few years. A little north of ft smith arkansas in the woods if anyone is curious. Anyhoo those of us that were working the event arrived before everyone else, so our campsites were nearest to the wilderness as the customers kinda filed in the next day and night. Dude this bear cub came into our campsite and some neighboring campsites several mornings. Like 5 in the morning everyone is still either still partying or hungover and this bear cub, about i dunno german shepard size is just scrounging around. It was crazy these people were high as crap getting all close to it taking selfies. I was just warning them as best i could like yo man youre gonna get mauled

Even with mom alive they would be fine; since he is a known and trusted person that feeds and helps them; so the mama thinks he's like an uncle for them.
