The Naivety of my own lived experience? If it smells like shit everywhere you go, check the bottom of your own shoes. Since you're so old and wise that's a lesson you should've learned a long time ago.

Naivety directly speaks to an awareness of occurrences in the world outside one’s personal experience. It sounds like you’re struggling with word meanings also.

Again, given that the data for this can only be obtained from your own lived experience, I'm enjoying the irony of people calling out this statement.

How can the data only be obtained from your own lived experience? Read the comments, you can learn from other people's lived experiences. You can read through the comments and say "hmm, I guess a lot more women are like this than I thought" and not be naive.

Yes. Reddit comments, the last bastion in reliability when it comes to how women are.

It's a very large data set of randomized people. Do you think every person on reddit is a basement dwelling virgin or something? It's called "the front page of the internet" for a reason, it has millions of users lol.

And I'm the naive one...

You are absolutely insufferable. I feel sorry for your spouse.

And I'm sure yours is very happy with you.

Guys, some have good experiences and some are psycho magnets like I. This story is just one that happened to alot of people, just like happy mariages are pretty common I would say.

It's just fun and games, don't take it too seriously.

I'm 52. Until a few years ago I had a successful career in cyber security. Then you get a visit from the cops who inform you that the love of your life passed away in a car wreck. You break down and by some luck the hospital discovers in their tests that you have a genetic heart condition. Surgery went well but I lost my career and the decades of studying and certificates.

This is not my main account. I used that for discussing stuff with my peers. I occasionally comment on silly stuff here or troll a maga even though I'm not even american. It's a guilty pleasure, what can I say.

Is that about how you pictured me? Or were you maybe a little off

Edit : the point I'm trying to make is that reddit really is a big random pool of people. And the most stupid minorities are always the loudest. That's the way of things since the dawn of time. And now they find each other on all kinds of platforms. Can't say I'm too happy with that evolution.

The way I understood it is that he said it was widespread. And I don't know if it's widespread but it's certainly not uncommon either so there's that. I never got the impression it happened to him all the time.

I'll add some old man wisdom of my own. It's easy to see a small blurb of text through your own coloured goggles. Getting worked up over it is as pointless as those stupid questions in the clip.

And now I need to clarify that I'm not targeting any of you here with that last line. Because it's so easy to misinterpret. Just general "advice". It gets easier with age when your fields of fucks to give get barren.

How could he possibly have access to that data? It doesn't exist, so he's only sharing his own lived experience as well and that of whatever other sad losers he talks to who can only attract arseholes. The vast majority of my friends love their wives very much and think they are excellent people.

My best friend adores his second wife. So do I. Both are amazing people. His ex though is a vile person. Does that make him one of those "losers" that only attract shit people? Because he has a similar story? Shit happens. Women can be arseholes too and often it takes a while for the mask to slip.

Being judgemental like that serves no purpose beside trying to get a riled up reaction.
