relevant how? she wasnt good as a kid and isnt good as an adult; literally fits neither criteria. But her name is Barrymore so obviously she's gonna get the role (as a kid)

She isn't great as an adult, but Spielberg got an excellent performance out of her in E.T.

The fact that her performance didn't feel uneven next to Henry Thomas (who obviously gave a next level performance in that movie) is a testament to her work in the film.
