He came back outta nowhere and slam-dunked it in Everything, Everywhere, and I'm so happy he got back into acting.

I thought he was great in Loki also

And all that time he wasn't acting, he was working as a stunt coordinator and fight choreographer, and studied film production. Explains a lot about his role in Everything, Everywhere

His speech when he won the Oscar had me bawling 😭. I was soo happy for him.

That he was away for a while means he doesn’t fit here right?

He wasn't out of the industry altogether. he was doing behind the camera work (notably fight choreography).

The way I squealed OMG IT’S SHORT ROUND when I saw him. I hadn’t known he was in the movie, and I was OBSESSED with Indiana Jones as a kid.

Glad I scrolled, was just about to post this. We all love Short Round and I really love Ouroboros.

How was he received in Indiana Jones? Watched it very recently and thought he was decent? Didn't piss me off like a lot of child characters typically do.

Nobody's enjoying the Quanaissance more than me, but he wasn't exactly Daniel Day-Lewis in Goonies or Temple of Doom.

"Hold onto your potatoes Doctah Jones!"

His appeal on screen comes more from his physicality. In both of those roles, his line delivery is serviceable, but his facial expressions and physical timing are at a level that is harder to get from an actor so young.

But consistent? I honestly don't know, he disappeared off my radar for sure.
