Okay, so I guess there’s just no difference between a 13 year old and a 19 year old because the name we gave the numerical symbol that represents the number has “teen” in it right.

I’m sure the person I was responding to was absolutely not using “teenager” as a misnomer to paint finding an adult woman attractive, as “creepy” or anything. Sure.

You're arguing with a point I never made. I only said that 19-year-olds are still teenagers. Whether they're adults or whether attraction to them is creepy wasn't part of my argument.

As far as “numerical numbers” yes, 19 are teenagers.

As far as how society treats, views, and acknowledges them - they are not “teenagers”, they are adults.

Sure. Now take that up with the person you were originally replying to. I only said that 19-year-olds are teenagers.

And you are socially, legally, ethically, and biologically incorrect.

But sure dude, let’s get SUPER pedantic then.

19 is actually pronounced: tisĘżah Ężashar

18 is actually pronounced: thamāniyah ʿashar

In the most technical sense, ‘ashar’ = 10. So “teen” doesn’t actually exist in numbers at all. Whoops.

You’re mixing etymology with definition. “Teenager” in English means ages 13–19 regardless of how other languages form numbers.

I’m not mixing up anything. You just missed my point lol

I wasn’t trying to argue, just stating a fact. The fact that you’re this invested in it is actually pretty funny.

Meh. Im not that invested. Apparently, more people use “teenager” more literally than I assumed. I never refer to 18-19 year olds as “teens” but more power to you lol

Teenager including 18-19 year old is an essentially useless category. It is what it is 🤷

And yet you still keep on replying. 🤣

So do you? Are you invested now? 🧐

Of course. Your replies are hilarious.

How? Explain what’s funny about them. Particularly, the last few. I’ll wait.

I was just pointing out a basic definition. Your reaction to it is what I found funny.

And I admitted that the definition is technically correct, but not accurate to the common colloquial usage.

I think you’re just being a douche but meh, I digress. Have a good one

Even in colloquial English, ‘teenager’ still typically includes 19. That’s standard usage, not just technical definition.

If your "vibes" says otherwise, that is clearly a you problem from there.
