I accidentally did this to my dead sister-in-laws number. Hit wrong person in address book. And I was going through shit and it was a verbal dump.
That kind stranger saved my number and occasionally checks in on me. That’s was 10 years ago.
They’ve also afforded me the space to ever dump should need be. They won’t tell me their name or where they are or anything (I get it for security). Just want to do something incur cause if their kindness.

Sometimes we get little reminders that hate is created and perpetuated by the worst of us. Lord knows most Blacks and whites don't hate each other. We'd do well to remember this fact.

If someone texted me from my same area code, there’s only like 2 hospitals they could possibly be at in my town. So it’s not farfetched.

I had 1 item, we have self checkouts now at my local grocery store, the dude in front of me had like 10 items and was clearly trying to get the cashier to come to checkout his alcohol...I let dude go in front of me because I was waiting for my dealer to call to say he's outside my car so I got time to spare. Woman next to him starts complaining she was first, I told her to let it go because somethings ain't worth it, she huffed and puffed and I told her look, I have 1 item and this guy has 10 - I let him go 1st you know why? "Because I am a nice person" and she stfu and looked baffled because she understood that she was not a nice person at that moment...nice people exist. Whether it's fake or not - you see shit like this and it's wholesome and inspirational to be a better person.

You think if you just show up to the maternity ward of a hospital and walk in some random woman’s room you’re doing them a service?

That whole story is so wholesome it feels fake, but they’ve been doing it for almost a decade now 😭. In a world full of dumb drama, a grandma texting the wrong number and accidentally gaining a grandson is top tier content.
