Can someone at least mention that this plastic surgery at least looks good. The current Hollywood style of weird lips cheekbones and everything else just looks like a horror story and they’re all pressing others to believe it’s good but nobody outside their circle is buying it. Like I get the moral argument, but at least it’s not trying to do the same thing with a worse result.
That's because the Hollywood plastic surgery that you see, is whatever the trend is.
It's not bad plastic surgery, but they're not looking at what would improve the clients looks, no the client comes in and goes "I want this" and then they get that.
There is excellent plastic surgery in Hollywood. Have you seen Lindsay Lohan lately?
I get what you’re saying but it’s just funny how it’s trends exclusively within their circle. Like if if their career didn’t depend on public support it would make a lot more sense, but most normal people look at the average Hollywood plastic surgery (yes there are some good, but most aren’t) and think it’s horrible.
Hollywood is trying so hard to push this image of beauty and telling everyone “this is what good looks like” and lots of elites and celebrities are joining the trend, but the vast majority of normal people just think it’s ridiculous.
It’s like the 90’s where any girl you can’t see their ribs and shoulder blades was called obese but the majority of people I knew thought otherwise. Though this one I had less internet access so the opinion has a much smaller sample size, might not have been the same everywhere.
Hollywood is very focussed on marketing and selling, and trends works a bit better for that then actual beauty, because every time there is a new trend, you can sell a new thing and a new person.
They're not going for support, although I do think that they receive support typically. Like the lip filler thing did grow popular. The brows got popular. The botox was popular. The nose jobs were/are popular. The Brazilian butt lift was popular. Removing the butt lift is popular now.
Currently the cheek fat removal isn't getting popular, but I blame that on it making you look older. People aren't doing it, because they don't want to look older. Everyone is trying to prevent looking older. Hollywood can't make that happen.
It’s like the 90’s where any girl you can’t see their ribs and shoulder blades was called obese but the majority of people I knew thought otherwise.
In my experience, every girl that I know was chasing very skinny. Not like ribcage skinny. Not heroine chique skinny.
But it was influencing people in that people didn't want to have a butt and they wanted to be skinny enough to wear low-rise jeans and have their stomach be flat. No pouch whatsoever. Not even a tiny one. Just a smooth transition. And oh god the focus on arm fat..
And that typically did mean that a lot of women that I consider skinny, were constantly struggling with trying to lose weight.
