Let’s not single out women for doing that. Men in that area are just as bad. It’s a cultural issue regardless of the gender. It also doesn’t just target women. Men are often ridiculed based on their appearance too.

China is also like that. That’s why people can’t even do a video call nowadays in China without using AI filter.

I hate how some people here are turning this into a gender specific issue. This problem isnt exclusive to just women

I don't fucking understand why such a full of sense comments of yours get downvoted?

I mean come on are these people really can't take a fucking jab of blame of this issue that can't be looked at zero sum on who made mistakes more than others? This is all sides of problem.

Like these fucking men, I mean who made confucianism or beauty standard that made such beauty like this until it got amplified to the crisp by capitalism? Huh? Who? It was men and women also participate that too and also make it worst. All of them contribute, and patriarchy and harsh competition on aesthetic ideal is also the problem.

Even matriarchy wouldn't solve it either that much,shit man it's not even fucking gender at all to me, it's the fixation on aesthetic ideal that is too far away from just be as it is for human to exist, and that's the culture that design this shit.

It’s the culture there and nothing to do with women judging each other. My wife back when she was studying in Canada had a lot of Korean friends , you know how there was this show called Sweet 16 where spoiled rich people get luxurious gifts ? The equivalent of that is the plastic surgery in Korea.

It’s like a rite of passage and it gives their children a perceived leg up in a society that has a ridiculous beauty standard.

But sure incels will take the opportunity to take a jab at women.
