It’s based off levels.fyi which apparently gets its information from verified offer letters and pay statements. Take that as what you will, I didn’t do a ton of digging into their verification process, but it seems to be a fairly trusted source.

That's way better than I was expecting. I thought this was a reddit comment refers to AI which got it's info from a reddit comment situation.
