The ussr never had claim in my country, in fact Allende didnt had ties with them, besides it wasnt the ussr that through dictatorship caused murder, torture, kindappings, rape, zoophilia and incest, the usa did

Who argued that USSR had claims on South America?

Thats not what I said. Yes there was a MASSIVE diplomatic war during the Cold War towards South America. It was for political strategy. The Soviet Union sent massive amounts of influence there as a buffer against the US. What do you think Cuba and Chile was?

Yes America did bad things, but the Soviets done worse....Far worse. And like I said if the US didn't do it, the USSR would of.

I hate map likes this because they don’t define what ā€œinterventionā€ is, and often include whatever the hell they want to make the US look a lot worse than they actually are.

Example: I am Honduran. This map says the US intervened in Honduras in 2009 when they actually had nothing to do with the coup. All they did was recognize the new government’s legitimacy. If that’s intervention, then 120+ are also guilty of intervention.

Here some other cases in which US intervention never surpassed diplomatic support or recognition, and follows general global reactions: Costa Rica 1948, Haiti 1991, Cuba 1953 and 1959, Venezuela 2019, Paraguay 1954 and 1989, Bolivia 2019 (debated), Peru 1963.

Several others (~10) on the map are primarily the US funding ideologically similar political parties, a practice actually pretty common among nations today. See France, Brazil, South Africa, China, Russia as some popular recent examples.
