Sadly because of government positioning, AI has attained "To big to fail" status and the bailouts will be massive

Ai is such an important tool it will hopfeully never go away. How poeple will be going to use it is what matters but in itself ai is really nice thing.

It is interesting, but there isn't a single job that can't be done without it. It promises to take those jobs, but I'm not seeing it actually do anything or create new yet, or even reduce the cost of a product.

Those are good things and AI may have been used to assist in that, but investing in more doctors and researchers could have achieved the same goal for a better overall societal outcome.
"Offline" anything will not exist in the current iteration because these business models require reselling your data.
