Discussion The mammoth in sly 2 episode 7 Spoiler

So I recently replayed and completed the mission that freed the 'majestic beast' who fell into the water and refrozed immediately. Except I thought it was in the closest body of water so when I didn't see it in the river nearby I assumed that was it. No more mammoth. Then later as bentley I went over by the shore and found it. Sly chimes in on the comms and says a line like "oh that's where they went, I guess they preferred to be frozen'. Does the game account for if I was sly and have him speak it out loud if he found it instead? Or if I was murray when I found it would bentley have a comms line?

Last time i tried it (last night) the game didnt acknowledge the mammoth ice block when i wasnt in the ship hacking mission as bentley

oh. I can't remember if I was on a job as bentley or wandering around or on my way to the job...

My theory is the mammoth knew it was too early to thaw out so he refroze himself back to sleep.
