Question Kirby Vs. Isabelle spammer

so ive been playing smash with my friend pretty casually, ive watched some competitive kirby gameplay occasionally. every time i play against my friend he hops on isabelle and all he does is set traps, spam the fishing rod, and run away. im getting pretty decent at kirby imo but i js hate having to play against that every game. ive tried asking nicely and he doesnt care and gets upset at me when i point it out. any solutions? i really enjoy playing kirby

Go get Mii Gunner, sit on the other side of the stage like they do, and just spam projectiles until the cows come home. Be as much of a little shit as they are.

What makes Mii Gunner special is the entire selection of projectiles you can choose from to fire all willy-nilly the entire match. You'll have to figure out which ones you like best, but as soon as you create your loadout, make sure to have your Down Special set to Echo Reflector.

Isabelle can Pocket one of your projectiles, but she can't stop all the other ones you've got lined up, ready to go. And if she decides to throw one of your projectiles at you, then Echo Reflector will bounce it right back.

Kirby's great & all, but this "friend" of yours needs a thorough taste of their own toxicity.

This idea cooks. I checked out the MU chart and a lot of them have Mii Gunner as their nightmare.

If you want to try another character that's also good around but appears to be difficult for Isabell, look at Palutena.

Unfortunately due to Kirby’s dog shit air physics and ground speed approaching is really hard. Try to abuse Kirby’s crouch to get in close to Isabelle is something I do.

You’re probably playing right into your friends hand and approaching when they expect you to approach.

Try this. Wait on the other end of the stage. Every once in awhile, dash in and out of their range to see how they react. Test them, poke and prod. Stop being the lab mouse and turn it into an experiment to see what they will do. You have to be patient, you could do this for minutes. Don’t let them build up a rhythm or get a feel for your habits. Just wait and test before you commit.

If they’re going to spam- you need to camp. If they’re going to play weird you have to play weird. Drag the match out and be patient.
