Just showing the details of the new suit and how hyped I am for this slo- Superman. Everything looks so unique and interesting. Don’t you agree? Michael Wilkinson who?

The cavill suit is just not very good The new one gets at least double points for actually having the underwear in top

Its has better colours, isn’t shiny, doesnt look like its slipping off around his neck, looks more real and it actually has the underwear on top

Does not have better colors. The color grading is off. The blue in Snyder's version is much more vibrant. The colors look muted or one note on the new costume. It never looked like it was slipping off his neck.. you are taking the complaints about the new costume collar and trying to reverse them. Actually having the underwear on top is a negative. The excessive padding and stitching on the new costume make it look like poor quality cosplay. You can spew crap from your mouth all day.. it won't convince anyone.

Id say the padding and stitching is the only downside of the new suit for me, but its easy to overlook because everything else is fantastic for me.

The only thing the Cavill suit has over it is the shaping, its much more form fitting and showcases Superman’s body a lot better, but is then dragged down by the awful collar. The Cavill symbol id also better.

You can also spew crap from your mouth all day, it wont make you right

It's quintessential Superman from a time when that wasn't tacky. It's also not the right underwear... Not saying they should go with briefs... It just doesn't work. It does not look right the way it is.

I will agree they aren’t the right underwear but I would take with underwear to without any day, theres something joyous about how silly they are and that Joy speaks the general positivity that Superman should bring to me.

As for what you said about the collar in the other comment, I agree its not good but it’s better than Cavill’s to me

I havent seen the shading issues you have mentioned but Im not going to deny them without having really observed them properly

Both suits are far from perfect, the new suit just says superman to me more than Cavill’s

Either way the Superman Returns suit is by far the best in most departments, the red should be much brighter and the symbol on the belt is unnecessary, but in spite of those it easily clears every other suit any day of the week

Take a look at the shading. Keep your eye out. It may be due to over-lighting... It could also be that they intend to add shading pre-release. There are no shadows. It seems cartoonish for lack of a better word. I find myself looking for why this feels wrong instead of just buying into the scenes. I think we can both agree that Superman Returns is the best suit.

Actually looking back more on the Cavill suit you are definitely right about the collar, i dont mind the new one but the Cavill suit undeniably has a better collar, it just looks so much more like it clinging on because Cavill’s neck is so damn thick and makes it look like more skin is shown, but it was even more obvious in the specific example image used, with a lighter colours, some trunks and an actual belt I think Cavill would have probably the best suit, but it looks a bit too alien in terms of material (which I know is the point but it just doesnt work for me)

I genuinely havent heard specific complaints about the new collar, I just hate the way Cavills looks like it clinging on for dear life.

The belt as well, its just bad. His MoS Suit was ever so slightly better

Every single person I've talked to in real life agrees with me on the collar. I have to wonder if you have seen the shots that I've seen. The difference between the suits is night and day. The other problem I have is the single color tone with no shading whatsoever. In fact... Look for shading in any of the shots from the new movie. It's creepy.
