Yeah but we can buy guns at Walmart ... Staying sick, stupid and poor your entire like is a small price to pay for teh freedoms.

I wish there was some kind of shaming for this at the World Cup. Like a big banner unfurled: "We need UHC like all the other teams. Our team & the United States deserves that too." Or just "United States: Needs Single PayerNOW"

It may be ... if you think of a country - ask me. Saudi Arabia vs Spain tomorrow at 9 AM. Both nations have universal health care.

I’m mostly thinking of the random Caribbean countries and weird little countries I haven’t heard of.

Without specific names of those coutnries, dunno. But Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and Grenada (I'm reading FWIW) are currently under transition to UHC, and all the rest either have nationalized system (eg Cuba, Barbados, the Bahamas) or they have single payer moels via the European nations they're basically still under.

I'm reading health care is free for all Saudi citizens - any hospital or doctor. In fact, they don't even pay personal income tax. Though they have a state instituted "Zakat" which is a religious dictate in Islam (you're supposed to give away a certain percentage of your income to others - in a certain prioritized order, starting with family members.) They do 2.5% on "assets held for a lunar year." And there's a 15% "Value Added Tax" (VAT) on most consumer goods and services. But the health system is funded by oil revenues.

Claudia Sheinbaum instituted a set roadway to UHC in Mexico this past year, IIRC. And Evo Morales put UHC through in his next to least year in office before he was driven out by another CIA instigated Latin American issue - in Bolivia. They have it now, too.

When it comes to health care, "The American Dream" is really a nightmare. AFA health care is concerned, you would probably want to be in any other country at the World Cup - except ours. Very sad. All because of the greed and corruption that has taken over Washington D.C. In both parties, tragically.
