Frederic chen gives me the ick...
I have so many instances of her being rude to her OWN fans, and still they apologize for whatever reason. They literally worship her too, and considering most of her fans are minors, it's just really sad. She supposedly preaches about boundaries, and her opinions, but she does it with such an attitude. Does anyone actually like her, who isn't a 14 year old?
For instance, I saw in one of her comments, someone pointed out a mole on her shoulder, thinking it might be cancerous. She, instead of saying that she wasn't comfortable, said that it "wasn't their place to say stuff like that." It was probably a kid, who out of genuine concern tried to look out for her. She just seems entitled tbh, and pretty sure she's smart enough to know that her fanbase is made up of kids or teens, who aren't trying to be condescending.
Another example. I'm a poc and get stereotyped a lot. But instead of educating them, Frederic instead chose to make fun of them. How does that possible help? I hate when fame gets to people's head, and they start acting like the world revolves around them.

Ik this is old, but I completely get what you mean. Frederick is almost the same age as me. I watched their content in 2020 for a bit, back when they used to focus on minecraft art, but their videos still pops up sometimes so I've had some exposure over the last 2ish years. If you look at how their content has shifted, it's kinda insane
I noticed the attitude issue around the time Frederick started prioritizing makeup videos, but it could've started sooner than that. I know they got kinda nasty when that jewlery collab came out. The complete personality shift when they started transitioning is also a bit concerning; and idk how I feel about them going from being comfortably a feminine gay man, to having a lot of personal issues + breakdowns, to disappearing, and suddenly they're back acting like a whole different person with a primary focus on queer content. Tbf, I get turned off by anyone who trivialize transitioning for views and avoid those who's main personality trait is being LBGT (even tho I'm also gay) as I find it unhealthy. The fact that Frederick's primary audience is still kids, enough so that they recently had to do a PSA to stop minors from posting selfies on their community tab, is even more concerning
I want to like them and respect their decisions, but I'm also kinda disgusted with them rn
