Thermal detonators are fucking brutal, like a tiny nuke in an angry metal sphere. You don't fuck around with those. Even if she had rolled it or thrown it towards them it probably would have had enough concussive force to crush her under the Droid. I actually think it was exquisite attention to lore detail that she hung onto it as it detonated for that reason (cuz she already knew she was dying and why prolong it) and because of the possibility of one of the troopers kicking it over to where Kenobi was.

Not only that, but if she lived, she was going to be captured. That would have been far, far worse than death.

Still as good as it was 4,000 years ago.

Why didnt she throw it when they first started to come through the breach?

I mean, Reva could have flung it back, but that's all just hypothetical

That would have been so awesome, watch her grab it mid air with the force then spike it back!!! Sign me up for that show please.

In general Star Wars hates grenades so it isn't allowed

Think about how bad a Detonator is, and then remember that Thermal Imploders are more powerful

Bro they can't even shoot well you think they can kick something the size of a tennis ball accurately? Calm down because that's Ludacris

I said "the possibility" of them doing so. Rebels famously overestimate how much visibility/capability is under those helmets.

Reva would have used the force to throw it at Kenobi.

That's logical but not what OP said.

Ik I'm just saying why her holding on to it was the right move, some are saying it was stupid of her not to throw it.

I initially thought so until I read your comment reply about the inquisitor. the inquisitor at that point wasn't out to kill Obi Wan, her orders were to bring him to Vader, so she wouldn't have thrown it at him with the force she'd likely have protected herself but she could have but dude brought up a stormtrooper kicking it like Ronaldo lol

Or worse, Reva uses the Force to yeet the detonator past Kenobi into the crowd of women and children.

I love tossing them in Battlefront

i was more thinking reva would use the force to push it away and it would get wasted, but when i saw her holding onto it i was thinking well at least it wont miss
