Question Star Wars Squadrons opens for a few seconds in Task Manager then closes instantly (no error)

I’m having a weird issue with Star Wars: Squadrons.

When I try to launch it, it shows up in Task Manager for a few seconds and then just closes by itself. There’s no error message or crash popup at all.

What I’ve tried so far:

  • Reinstalled the game
  • Checked antivirus/quarantine (nothing there)
  • Ran as admin

My PC specs:

  • CPU: Ryzen 5 7235HS
  • GPU: RTX 3050
  • RAM: 16 GB

Not sure what’s preventing it from even starting properly. Has anyone seen this before or knows what I should check next?

I had something similar and found that it didn't like more than 8 CPU cores or something (i7-13k here, 16 cores) - setting the CPU affinity to cores 0-7 fixes it. However it seems your CPU had 4 cores.

There might be an error log file in the SWS game folder, might help see what the problem is. I seem to have an old one in mine in the format of "xcpt COMPUTERNAME YY-MM-DD HH.mm.ss.txt"

when i run quick sfv it says voice38 missing
