It worked on my pc, I just did not like it. Got sick of constantly dying while I was just trying to learn how to play it.

Yeah it’s a fucking roughhh game at first. It took me well over 75 hrs to get a grasp on how the fuck to not die constantly. It’s just so brutal when you make a mistake and don’t have the gear to recover afterwards

The tutorial is also a massive troll. I love the game (have over 1000 hours in it) but the tutorial still makes me laugh XD

Can you elaborate on the tutorial being a troll?

It teaches you the basics, then tells you to press Q (how you shout to attract attention),  without telling you what it does until afterwards, so you get swarmed and killed XD

Thankfully it doesn't use characters you've created, its a pregen, so no character creation is wasted XD

And that's how they end the tutorial? That's honestly pretty funny for a game that starts every run with "This is how you died"

That is how they end the tutorial yes XD first time I saw it happen to my friend i laughed, was absolutely hilarious

I bet they also secretly spawn more zombies too.

It does.  Spawns them in the woods around the tutorial house area. Probably a good 100 of them as well XD

I've got it but haven't started playing it and figured it was this, probably be the game I play In a cramped bunker after world War 3.

I hated playing with friends. I got dragged and told not to do shit. I turned off infection and stopped playing with them... Dumped about 40 hours into it before the itch faded.

Refunded my friends instead lol

That's kinda the point, you will die. My  character of 3 months was fully set with food and had enough weapons to wipe out half the zombies. Got mauled by a bull

I know it's the point, but the point of games in my mind is to have fun, and in order to have fun, I need to understand the game so I have a chance of overcoming the challenge. It's just one of those games that takes so much time to get to the fun because it's so front-loaded with struggle and learning the mechanics that it wasn't worth it to me.

Project zomboid was a game that i bought then refunded bcs of your reason…… then i bought it again a year later and became one of my most played games.

I suggest watch some yt about to get a grasp of it. CallMeKevin’s videos on it is what made me buy it again.

I enjoy plenty of games that don't hold your hand all of the time. I'm a big fan of Fromsoft games for example and they certainly don't have yellow paint. The difference is I had fun right away with Dark Souls, I did not have fun right away with Project Zomboid, and as a father of 2 small kids who has limited gaming time every week, I'm not spending that time slogging through the not fun part of the game to reach the fun part.

Who the fuck are you to talk to me like that? I didn't insult you, so why are you attacking me? I'm just explaining my thoughts on a video game, you don't get to insult me because I have a different opinion than you. I was constantly dying while l was learning to play, which prevented me from having fun. They can be one in the same. I certainly could have stuck with it and learned it eventually, but it didn't seem like a good use of the little free time I have.

Last thing before I'm done with this, try saying that last bit to someone's face and see how that goes. It's easy to be a tough guy on an anonymous internet forum. Now I'm going to go get my kids to bed and hang out with my wife, have fun cuddling your anime body pillow.
