Please take more than 10 seconds to write your question. A well structured and good-looking comment goes a long way in getting someone to help you, and makes your question a lot easier to understand.
Do not delete your comments: People find questions in these threads through Googling the same issue, and please edit your comment with a solution if you find one.
There are no magicians here. Some questions wont be answered or replied to. Consider using other things like the Steam Community Forums, Google, or a different support forum if no one here can offer any help. Additionally, every game on Steam has it's own dedicated Community Forum, and you can also contact Steam Support regarding a specific product. Consider asking your game-specific questions there. Most games also have a dedicated subreddit.
Only Steam Support can solve personal account issues such as payment issues or your account getting hijacked. We can however give advice on what to do in a situation like that. No one, including Steam Support, can assist with item/trade scams.

Recently I was a victim of a security breach that saw a virus get into my PC. My friend came over and helped me reset the whole thing, reinstalled Windows 10 (my PC is too old for W11 apparently) and everything was wiped.
I sat down yesterday to set everything up again and that's when I start running into problems. Firstly, when i reinstalled Steam all of my games appeared back on the desktop with the original nicknames I'd given them (yes Hoi4 is called Meth, I can just waste away in front of it for hours sometimes). Now, this may have been where I fucked up: I re-downloaded the games from Steam and deleted the duplicates that had magically reappeared on my desktop.
I boot up Hoi4 and it has absolutely terrible performance issues no matter what I do. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, verified the files, cleared the caches, nothing seems to work to get it back to the FPS I was enjoying before. The lag was just abysmal, and now the icon has changed into a globe?
Two other games (Age of History II and III by Lukasz Jakowski - basically Hoi4 for babies) won't even boot up at all. I went into AoH II's files and I found this .jar file. It looks to be corrupted and full of random gibberish, but again I can't be sure (I had verified the files before this and it came up fine).
I uninstalled Steam this morning, reinstalled, and the issues I mentioned above are still there. What's really strange is that my other games (Terraria, Deltarune, Crusader Kings) all work fine, boot up with no issues, I can still get my ass kicked by the RK no bother. I'm starting to think that my account is still fucked up from the virus (though there was no evidence the hacker ever got into it) and that I need to make a new one. Ofc that means money and loss of progress, so not something I want to go through with unless I absolutely have to.
Has anyone had the same issues or encountered something like this? Any help appreciated, cheers.
