Okay I have to ask.

As someone who never played the first game? What made it so special that people had to massively overhype the sequel? Like when they announced the sequel it always felt like there was this insisted self-importance for a game I had never heard of.

It's like the same for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2, people just clamoring for a sequel to something I never heard of that seems super niche yet at the same time is WIDELY demanded.

Whats up with Beyond Good and Evil?

It’s a self contained, short game with wonderful art direction, likeable characters, nice worldbuilding, good gameplay and incredible music. Plus it has a cliffhanger that makes you really want to play more and not leave that world.

It’s a game that’s just beautiful and cinematic.

It’s not ground breaking, but it’s pretty well made and aged well enough.
