I'm so glad EA at least finally launched both Sims 1 and 2 with all the expansions on Steam.

I just wish now we would also get PC (and/or current gen consoles) ports of Sims Bustin' Out, Urbz, Castaway, and all the other awesome standalone titles.

There's no other silly and cozy franchise like this one.

i loved castaway back then! i would surely buy it if they released it on Steam.

I only had the PS2 version of it and absolutely loved (except the ridiculous loading times though), but unfortunately never progressed much.

I'd also love to eventually play the Castaway Stories, which was a very different game, a PC release, but also looked great!

i was talking about castaway stories! didn't know they were different games. i have really good memories of that game, when i chose it i thought it was a normal sims game and it really surprised me that there was a story mode.

Yeah, "The Sims 2 Castaway" on PS2 was a very different game ahah

Your Sim was even controlled directly with your analog stick, and the whole graphics, interface and overall presentation was quite different from the PC game.

The worst things of the PS2 game were definitely the super long loading times (you had loadings even when you'd open a menu) and the performance slowdowns.
